The cathedral at the top of Castello, with a 20th-century façade in medieval style, rich baroque chapels and a crypt carved into the rock.

Torre dell'Elefante
A 14th-century Pisan gate tower named after the small stone elephant on its side. Climbing access varies, so check locally; the outside alone is a fine sight.

Bastione di Saint Remy
A grand stairway and terrace on the old city walls, the best viewpoint over the rooftops, port and lagoons. A small fee covers the covered walkway and gallery inside.
