Seafront and Castel dell'Ovo
A flat seafront walk past the Borgo Marinari harbour to the island castle of Castel dell'Ovo, with views of Vesuvius. The castle has been under restoration, so check locally whether it is open.

Naples' grandest square, lined by the former royal palace, whose state rooms and staircase are open to visitors. The palace is closed on Wednesdays.
