Cloister of San Francesco
A peaceful medieval cloister with interlaced arches, next to the Villa Comunale gardens. Often used for weddings and concerts, so access can vary.
Tender port
Lift hours vary by month (in October 07:00–22:00; in winter 07:00–19:30).
Tenders land at Marina Piccola, Sorrento's ferry harbour at the foot of the cliffs. Piazza Tasso, the centre, is on the clifftop above: about 15 minutes on foot up a steep road and steps, or take the public lift from the harbour and beach area up to the Villa Comunale gardens (€1.20 one way, €2.20 return), then 5 minutes' walk. Local buses and taxis also run up from the harbour. Fast ferries to Capri leave from the same harbour.
Tender boarding involves steps and depends on the sea. In town, the public lift avoids the climb between the harbour and the centre.
